PTC adds AI tech pack generation to FlexPLM

Debuts at NRF Retail’s Big Show Jan. 11-13 in NYC; demos at Booth 3346 highlight supply chain and sustainability tools.

PTC announced new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for its FlexPLM retail product lifecycle management (PLM) solution aimed at automating tech pack creation, a step in retail product development that often requires significant manual effort and can introduce errors. The capabilities will debut at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Retail’s Big Show, Jan. 11-13, in New York City.

Converting design sketches into production specifications typically involves multiple handoffs between design and development teams and substantial manual data entry. With FlexPLM’s AI-driven tech pack generation, teams can extract information from design drawings and use it to populate bills of materials (BOMs), measurements, construction details, attributes and colorways.

PTC said the update supports its Intelligent Product Lifecycle approach, which combines structured product data with AI to improve workflow efficiency and decision-making across the product lifecycle.

At NRF, PTC will demonstrate FlexPLM features related to product development, supply chain visibility, and sustainability and regulatory requirements. Attendees can visit Booth #3346 for demonstrations and to speak with PTC retail specialists.
